Shopping with Rafael.

Currently, Lana is in a luxury boutique with a variety of dresses and the longest dresses in almost every room. Lana didn't know what to do there while Rafael had been watching her from the soft sofa she was currently sitting on. Nothing appealed to Lana. To be more precise, Lana wasn't interested in shopping for clothes and she didn't know what she would wear it them.

Of all the beautiful and beautiful dresses and dresses that were there, only Lana touched her without intending to take her off the hanger. Lana just walked around the rows of dresses and dresses that hung neatly, busy with her own thoughts.

"Are you going to continue like that, Lana?" Rafael's anger finally exploded. It's been minutes since Lana just wandered around without choosing a single shirt hanging in the boutique. "You are even more worthy to stand up and replace the mannequin over there!" he pointed exasperatedly at the mannequin in front of the glass wall a few meters from where Rafael was sitting.

Lana scowled in annoyance. "I don't know what to choose. You didn't give me more information about the event you mentioned with Darren earlier." She threw the blame on Rafael.

"Just pick a dress you like and you're done! Why are all the women so hard to choose what to wear!" snapped Rafael. He gets angry with Lana.

"Don't bring up women's names, Rafael," said Lana.

"Oh, did I say something wrong? You always take a long time to choose the clothes you want to wear while the first choice is always the last option. You dress up as if it's something very sacred and takes an awful lot of time without thinking about the person who's been waiting for you for so long." Rafael raved at length as if he had already tasted the bittersweetness of knowing what a 'woman' was.

Lana's cheeks immediately turned red. "N-not all women behave like that," she evaded.

"From your movements. You fall into the category of women I mentioned." Rafael got up from the sofa and walked over to Lana. "All women love fancy dresses. I'm sure you are too," he said later, "choose one of them. I still have a lot of work to do. Don't make me spend time here just waiting for you to choose a dress to wear."

"Who told you to accompany me here," Lana grumbled in a low voice.

"I can hear you, Lana," Rafael said. He threw a sharp glare at Lana which succeeded in making the woman numb. "Darren told me to accompany you. Like it or not, I have to do what he's told," said Rafael.

"You're always so quiet when it comes to Darren even though you don't like me," Lana sneered softly.

"If you already know quickly choose the clothes and don't make me linger with you," protested Rafael.

Lana snorted in annoyance. Then dropped his hand on one of the clothes that were nearby. "Here," she said with an annoyed face.

"Miss!" Rafael immediately raised his hand in the air and one of the female employees immediately approached Rafael.

Rafael escorted Lana to the house. She got out of the car and right at that moment, Daisy called her.

"Yes, Daisy?" she asked after pressing the green button on her phone screen. She briefly glanced at Rafael who got out of the car and headed for the door in the passenger seat and took a large bag containing the dress she had bought earlier.

"I heard you came home early. Are you sick?" asked Daisy.

That is true. Lana forgot to tell Daisy.

"I'm not sick, Daisy. I'm fine. There's just an urgent need," answered Lana. Now Rafael was standing in front of her and watching her answer the phone.

"Sudden necessity? About what?" asked Daisy.

"Ooh, that…." Lana's words stopped when Rafael signaled by touching his watch that he was too late to return to the office. "Daisy. Sorry. We'll talk about this later, shall we? I'll let you know when you get back from work."

"What? but, Lan—"

"Forgive me!" Lana had to hang up the phone without waiting for Daisy's words to finish. "Sorry," she said then to Rafael.

Rafael did not respond to Lana's apology and immediately gave the dress he had. "Darren will tell you more details about tomorrow night's event."

"Um, yes. Thank you." Lana took it awkwardly and stared at Rafael away with locked lips.

In her room, Lana Sharin fell asleep. Even though it was only eight o'clock at night, Lana felt so tired after shopping with Rafael. Being near that man drained Lana's energy. Whether it's Darren or Rafael, both are equally overwhelming Lana.

When she heard the loud ringing of her cell phone, Lana opened her eyes and glanced at her cell phone that kept ringing on the table near her bed. Lana pulled herself up, forcing her right hand out onto the table to reach for her phone.

Darren.

The man again.

Lana took a deep breath before picking up Darren's phone. She even made herself sit on the bed with an annoyed face.

"Did you get the dress?" Darren's voice immediately hit Lana's eardrums. He didn't even do the small talk that people often do on the phone.

"Yes," answered Lana, curtly.

"I want to see it. Put it on and send me the photo."

"Are you crazy, Darren?!" cried Lana in annoyance.

"You refuse?" asked Darren.

"Of course I refuse!" Lana screamed loudly.

Darren's grin managed to make Lana's forehead wrinkle. Was the man laughing at him?

"You really suck, Darren," Lana said. There was no sound or response from the owner of the name. "Darren?" Lana called Darren again with a slow voice.

"I'm in front of your house." Darren's voice seemed so calm and low.

"What?" Lana furrowed her brow. She glanced at the door to her room, which was still open. "What did you say?" she asked again.

"I'm at your doorstep."
