Lana turned to look at Harry doubtfully. "Are you really okay with me shopping like this?" she asked again. She asked again, don't know how many times.

After having dinner and a good night's sleep in Harry's living room. In a short time, they were this close and had Harry accompany her on shopping trips to buy the things Lana needed.

"I told you I was on leave from college. The cafe where I work is also being booked and we are closed. I can stay with you until late afternoon because I have to work at the bar in the evening."

"I'm too brave for taking a busy person like you," said Lana, "even though we've only just known each other. It's not twenty-four hours yet and I've troubled you."

Harry laughed heartily and his dimples returned. A tall man with brown skin and a sturdy body is a combination that can make all women glance at him.

"Don't worry. I will take advantage of having you treat me in return."

"Okay. If that's the case, I won't be so burdened with guilt."

"Come to my cafe or bar if you have free time. I'll get some treats from you."

"Then… after this, can you take me somewhere?"

"Yes. With pleasure, Lana."

"Boutique? It looks like an expensive boutique," said Harry when they arrived in front of a boutique that seemed luxurious. He lowered his head slightly to look at the building through the car window. "What do you need it for? I can recommend you a cheaper place―"

"No need, Harry," Lana politely declined. "I came here because someone told me to come."

"Your acquaintance?"

Lana shook her head. "No. My stepmother," she answered. She noticed the surprised look on Harry's face, then smiled wryly and said, "did I tell you that I have a stepmother and both my parents died long ago?"

"Sorry, Lana. I don't …."

"No need to apologize, Harry," Lana interrupted with a wry smile. "It's all over," she said, "my stepmother is getting remarried and she told me to come to her wedding. Just so you know, this is her boutique and I'm here to pick up the dress she prepared." Lana then got out of the car without looking at Harry again.

Harry hurried out and jogged over to Lana. "Are you all right, Lana?"

"Yes. You can wait for me in the car. I won't be long, Harry."

"No, wait!" Harry exclaimed as he grabbed Lana's wrist. "I'm coming with you. I will keep you company."

Lana smiled faintly. "Thank you, Harry." And Harry smiled back.

They enter the boutique. Stefanny seemed to be busy with one of the customers who were there. When Lana opened the door, Stefanny immediately recognized her presence. The woman in the sexy dress glanced at Lana and returned to busy with her customers.

Lana was standing not far from the door with Harry like an idiot. When an employee was about to come to Lana, Stefanny called her and told her to show her the dress the customer wanted.

"You've come," Stefanny said as she walked over to Lana. She noticed Harry's presence and looked him up and down. "Your lover?" she asked.

Harry looked at Stefanny with an amazed expression. The woman was too young, or indeed her appearance was too fashionable. Beautiful and charming.

Stefanny smiled faintly at Harry's amazed reaction and Harry quickly looked away.

"None of your business. Give me the dress and I'll be out of here right away," Lana snapped. She glanced at Stefanny sharply as if warning her not to glance at Harry.

"Why the rush? You don't want to introduce your new lover to me? What's his name?"

"Don't interfere, Stefanny. You're not my mother."

Stefan snickered. "Okay. Up to you! Choose the dress you want," Stefanny said moving her hand as if to invite Lana to choose the dress she wanted herself. "And after that you can go."

Lana glanced sharply at Stefanny. As if being teased by Stefanny's luxuries, Lana moved to the area of the dress that was hanging in a row and took it randomly from there.

"Now I can go, right?"

"Maya! Take the dress and wrap it"

"No need!" cut Lana in a curt tone. "I can take it straight like this," she said.

Lana then walked over to Harry and asked him to leave. Harry seemed confused as Lana pulled him out in the dress she carried in her right hand.

Arriving in the car, Lana threw the dress into the back seat in annoyance. The sly fox could never stay still whenever she saw a handsome man.

When Lana came back from the boutique and got out of the car, she was surprised to see her old friend Daisy running up to her and giving her a big hug.

"Lana!"

"Daisy!" cried Lana in surprise. "What are you doing here?" she asked confused.

Daisy let go of her hand. Their hands were holding each other. "I heard that you came back here. How are you? Are you okay? Oh my God, Lana… it's been a long time since we last saw each other."

"I didn't know that word of my return could spread so quickly," Lana said in disbelief.

"That bastard knows that you're back here too."

"What?" Lana suddenly felt a tight feeling in her chest.

"Forget about the bastard," said Daisy, "when are you coming back here? why didn't you tell me at all, Lana? Have you forgotten about me, huh?!"

"It's not like that, Daisy. I-"

"Ahem!" Harry cleared his throat which made Lana and Daisy turn to look at him at the same time. "Sorry to interrupt your time, but… it seems better if we move to a nicer place to chat. And also…don't forget I'm still here, Lana," Harry said with an awkward smile.

"Oh my gosh. I'm sorry, Harry." Lana slapped herself on the forehead for forgetting Harry's existence. "Let's go inside the house."

Harry put the groceries on the floor while Lana walked to the kitchen area to get a drink. While waiting for Lana, Daisy looked at the condition of the house which looked dirty because it had not been lived in for a long time.

"Sit here," said Harry, patting the sofa to dust off so Daisy could sit comfortably.

"Thank you," Daisy smiled faintly. She sat there while Harry cleaned the rest of the sofa.

"Sorry because my house is still dirty, Daisy. I haven't had time to clean it since I just came here." Lana came back with a tray of two drinks and set them on the table. Then she sat down next to Daisy.

"No problem," Daisy said, "when are you coming back here?"

"Yesterday."

"Yesterday? And why didn't you tell me?"

"Sorry. It's too sudden. There's a lot I can't tell you all at once, Daisy. I will say it step by step. I hope you can understand."

"Okay, fine. And where did you sleep last night? With the condition of your house like this… you don't push yourself and sleep in a dirty place like this, right?!"

"No, Daisy. I slept at Harry's house. His house is right next to mine. They have a living room where I can sleep. They also gave me a good dinner," explains Lana. She then looked at Harry gratefully. "Thanks for everything, Harry."

"It's okay, Lana. I'll leave you two so can chat more comfortably. If you need anything, feel free to tell me."

Lana nodded her head in response. She led Harry to the door and back to Daisy.

"Lucky you came here, Daisy. Harry just accompanied me to buy some stuff for me. You can help me clean up, right?"
