Chapter 0.1- Prologue

One person sat alone in a sea of corpses, in a floating chair that seemed to be connected to the surrounding.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of bodies were scattered across the area below him.

He exuded a terrible red aura that traumatized anyone brave enough to even enter the area in which he resided.

The number of people he'd slain was unknown; for it was confirmed by the bloody scent everywhere.

Of course, such a thing was completely preserved by a formation that kept the bodies intact; thereby confirming his dominion over this area in the vast world.

The deadly atmosphere was so strong that it would immediately attempt to pervade every fiber of any being that tried to enter.

Of course, the figure could easily overlook such things due to the robe he wore.

Even the heavens of this world were powerless to suppress this being. Thousands of its children had been born, and not a single scar remained on this being's body.

Its children would be slain by a flick of his finger whenever they entered his zone, even after reaching the apex of strength.

This region was thus deemed the one and only Forbidden Land, for anyone who entered it would die, regardless of their strength.

It didn't matter to the entity, as it wouldn't bother him. None of it would. Given his current level of strength, he would gladly destroy the world if it meant achieving his goal.

But... he didn't have one; giving the world's other creatures a chance to live...

The being's background was initially what drove the brave—or stupid—creatures to fight him. He didn't have any, which made him seem inadequate.

His future was sealed from the moment he was born; as it was destined for him to offend one of this world's 'heaven's chosen.' But everything went in an unexpected way...

The soul of the being was the one who had to suffer such a predicament. As a result, he changed after being changed. But to a much worse one.

The new soul existing in his body happened to enter it by chance. At least, that's what he initially thought.

There were three realms in this world: lower, medium, and upper. Being an Ascender meant going from a lower realm to a higher one by going through heaven's tribulation.

The lower realm had planets, the medium realm had galaxies, and the higher realm had planes.

The new soul was one from the lower realm, from a planet called Pazerth.

Originally, the new soul was a regular high school student in H city, striving to be one of his school's top three martial artists and get a promotion to a higher-levelled city; thereby reaching the limit of the world.

In fact, the Pazerth planet was unique. It was cut off from the other worlds by a barrier built by an Ascender who originated from it and descended after gaining sufficient power.

It thus gave the inhabitants of the Pazerth planet the illusion that they were the only ones in this vast universe.

And, after reaching the lower realm's limit, they began to develop districts, such as entertainment, literature, and so on.

Such things continued, and they were still ongoing...

The new soul was exercising as usual on the day of his transmigration.

He didn't, however, ignore the other aspects. After completing his training, he would regularly read novels.

There were many different kinds of books and novels in this world, but he always liked reading ones with a protagonist reaching the summit of their world since it provided him with a fresh sense of thrill and enthusiasm by placing himself in the protagonist's shoes.

That day, he was reading a new chapter, newly translated from Chinese—the language in which most of his favorite novels were written—about a protagonist who isolated himself and cultivated until he reached the peak without fighting other forces.

But then a massive thunderbolt struck his body, which was seated in a garden.

It dissolved quickly, leaving just his soul, which ended up entering and replacing the previous soul in the higher realms...

Of course, he thought he would end up as a protagonist. But he didn't expect to end up as a villain—and an orphan one at that.

But it was much worse than he expected. He was merely a starting villain, a cannon fodder one with little to no strength!

As for why the previous soul was destined to offend that protagonist, it was due to the two liking the same girl.

The new soul, with his new knowledge and sense of novels, felt weird. Especially after knowing from the previous soul's memories that the planet he resided on wasn't much.

It was a devastating discovery for him! It took him a whole half year to get over it.

After all, he had just discovered that the 'limit' he had always thought of was merely the initial phase of cultivation in this realm.

He also discovered that the reason he died was due to some aftereffects of an expert's battle. It even managed to go through the barrier of the Ascender who protected the planet!

But what made him truly despair was that, out of billions, and out of the several dozen countries there were in his world, the location in which the thunderbolt struck was where he was!

'Then how am I alive? If it isn't a coincidence that it hit me, then being alive—or transmigrating here—also isn't a coincidence! ' The being was lost in thought, but was stopped as he realized he needed nutrition to keep his current body alive. He wouldn't want to die right after coming back from the dead, right?

And so, just like that, this being's life was destined to be a hard one the moment he transmigrated.

He continued facing protagonists right after finishing his confrontation with the current ones.

It took him tens of thousands of years to finally reach the very apex of the whole world; thus creating the zone he was in. He changed from the naive, frail kid who got scared by his simple transmigration; into a mighty figure whose cunningness was one of its own.

All the bones below him were those of protagonists, rather heaven-chosen, whom he'd faced from the start of his transmigration.

It wasn't that he had the tendency to save their bones. His powers were so terrifying that he could even manipulate time.

So, thousands of years passed, and the heaven's chosen continued to come to him to challenge him in the name of "justice."Of course, such a thing was forced by Heaven.

He found it funny that those protagonists killed, did many atrocious things to gain power similar to his, and still called themselves righteous.

He knew he was evil, for he'd done many things to attain his current realm of power. But at least he was open to it, not a hypocrite trying to be good despite knowing his nature like those so-called 'heaven-chosen'.

As for the current environment, he thought of various templates of the supreme villain in his mind which suited his liking, and the current one—made of the protagonists' bones only—satisfied him.

Initially, he wasn't that talented. His talent could only reach the middle stages, at best; due to it being a low-level cannon fodder villain.

However, he found out that every time he killed those heaven-chosen, his talent would increase slightly.

It was because they were almost impossible to kill. They were protected by the heavens, after all.

He also found out that his transmigration was forced from Hell itself, which gave him the ability to increase his talent by killing protagonists.

Hell was the opposite of Heaven; and it sacrificed a large portion of its strength to deduce the future and find out his might. Hence, it chose the past without hesitation.

In the being's current state, he was as powerful as Heaven and Hell.

'Destiny was a mysterious thing that even I couldn't understand that much. If not for Hell's intervention at that time, I wouldn't have become the current me. Yet, it was all meant to happen for me to weaken slightly by giving Hell a portion of my strength to regain its original prowess that it lost after deducing the future. ' The being sighed and decided to sleep for a while.

After all, at his current stage, no one could hurt him. Heaven lost a lot of its power by giving birth to Heaven-chosen to fight him, and Hell, due to the power it gave him, along with the prediction, became as weak as the current Heaven.

And although his strength did indeed decrease, it was much more than the current Heaven and Hell.

As for his body in the outside world? It was even more impossible for him to be killed here. Then again, Heaven could fight by using all of its chosen as an avatar, and Hell by forcing all evil into existence as an avatar.

Both parties would suffer immense damage. And even if they fought, they would merely reach a draw. So the losses outweigh the gains in such a battle.

Hence, no one—no matter the race—could even enter his domain; much less kill him

After he recovers his strength, it would be 5% more than Heaven and Hell. Although 5% sounds like little, in the current realm of power, it is a huge difference.

However, just as he was about to go on a slumber for who knew how long—due to his boredom, he was awoken by a mental message that caught his interest...

{A.N: Upload Schedule might be a little chaotic. I will send the next chapter on Thursday or Friday; I'm busy with exams.

The cultivation realms in this world are irrelevant overall, that's why I didn't mention them.}
