☆ Chapter 8, Dead End. ☆

They continued to walk in the forest, taking out shadow fighters until they reached a small town that was under heavy guard, seems something is happening in the town.

Zoe began to think. "I might have to stay with you for a little longer, is that ok, Sir Aster, Lady Lilly?" She now asked.

"Yes, that is fine with us." Aster and Lily said.

"Hey! State your names and purpose in this place!" A solider walked up to them, in heavy armour, and a golden snake crest on the chest of the armour.

"I am Zoe, of the Lion Branch." She showed her Lion Crest on her grey top. "These are travellers, one is the Goddess's Chosen One, and his companion."

"And I'm the king of the royal branch!" He laughed. "The Serpath Branch isn't one to believe one Lion Knight's word, your gonna have to prove it, traveller with the sword." The solider sniggered, not expecting Aster to actually be the Goddess's Chosen One.

Aster sighed, and drew the sword. The solider gasped and stuttered. "Y-you are..." He gasped.

"Yep..." Aster widened his eyes as a horde of shadow creations appeared, roaring in anger. "Watch out!" Aster now held the monsters Jaws back with his sword.

The lead monster rose up, claws extended and eyes glowing red, completely covered in shadow. "This is your end..."

Nowhere they could go, they had to fight.

"Tell me why they are here after the fight, Mr.Knight!" Lily demanded, firing bolts at the smaller monsters, Zoe slashed with her Scythe.

'PREPARE FOR BATTLE!' Aster yelled.

'Defend the town, prove to me you can best these monsters, my child.'
