[HP] Hogwarts Bloodline Enchanter

As if the gods themselves were playing a prank, poor Evan was catapulted straight into the Sorting Ceremony at Hogwarts, his mind a blank slate, his limbs flailing for purchase. What's this now? I've dabbled in the Dark Arts before? My abode is nestled in a Dark Magic shop down Knockturn Alley? And my mother, a vile dark sorceress? Just as Evan fretted over his future homecomings potentially ending in skinning and boning, he stumbled upon an ability to assimilate the bloodlines of magical creatures. Why has the Dumbledore clan been perennially aided by phoenixes? Why does the portly dwarf star, Peter, shed tears as he flees into the night? And what is the actual truth behind Voldemort's snakelike countenance? Shadows of unicorns that flicker between reality and illusion, the petrifying stare of the basilisk's eye, the fiery might wielded by a phoenix... As Evan gathers these bloodlines, a different magical world begins to unfold before him.

Magical Outburst

Blood rain scattered around, as flesh and feathers were torn into pieces falling from the sky...

Having just escaped that strange state, Evan collapsed to the ground, utterly drained. The once omnipotent wizard now couldn't even conjure a magical barrier, helplessly feeling chunks of disgusting flesh stick to his face.

After resting for a while and somewhat recovering, Evan tried to re-enter that magical state.

However, the magic that had freely spread was now obediently confined within him, no matter how hard he tried, Evan couldn't lift objects with his mind, let alone perform advanced transfigurations.

The experience felt like falling from a god to a mere mortal, which was extremely uncomfortable for Evan.

But reminiscing about that moment...

Vaguely, Evan felt he had experienced something similar before...

It was during a magical awakening at the age of eight, when his unleashed power demolished everything around him after a nightmare, even briefly animating a wooden carving he was holding.

Throughout, he hadn't waved a wand or uttered a spell, simply driven by an instinctive repulsion and fear, causing widespread destruction and animating the wooden carving for protection.

Why his magic could do that following the outburst, Evan couldn't say, though he recalled Harry having similar almost wish-fulfilling moments during magical bursts in the original story.

This included regrowing hair, turning a teacher's wig blue, and making a pane of glass disappear at the zoo, suggesting any young wizard might experience something similar during a magical outburst.

Evan suspected his sudden increase in power led to this second magical outburst, this time more potent and longer-lasting, allowing him, for unknown reasons, to briefly control it actively.

"Was it because of the fusion potion?" Evan pondered the potion's ingredients, many related to stabilizing magic.

Unable to figure it out for now, Evan decided to set it aside for future investigation.

Feeling disgusted by the sticky blood on him and the chaotic mess around, Evan wished for cleanliness. Pulling out his wand, he first cleaned his clothes, then set about tidying the mess.

Under the influence of invisible magical waves, everything seemed to reverse in time. Fallen cabinets stood up, crushed chairs and the cauldron returned to their places, and even the dust and wood shavings vanished...

Magic's convenience amazed Evan; cleaning the large potion storage by himself would have taken days.

Just yesterday, Evan's cleaning charm wouldn't have been this effective. The nearly doubled magical power also significantly enhanced his spells.

Fusing with unicorn blood, Evan felt an exceptional rapport with his wand, the flow of magic unimpeded, even boosted.

However, the cleaning charm wasn't all-powerful.

At least, the "phoenix" transformed mahogany table couldn't be restored. The dismembered flesh, blood, and feathers were merely collected in a corner, forcing Evan to incinerate them with a fire spell.

The potions spilled from shattered bottles weren't salvaged either, a painful loss considering their potential value of hundreds of Galleons.

Thankfully, a bottle of fire protection potion remained intact, offering slight consolation.

After tidying up, Evan finally checked his system status, curious about his strength's improvement.

Evan noticed several new features on the updated panel.

First was the occupation change to Blood Magician, the implications of which Evan was yet to understand.

All magic proficiency levels had significantly increased, likely connected to the state he inadvertently entered during the magical outburst.

Transfiguration not only broke through to level 4 but also gained over a thousand proficiency points. Evan's gaze turned to the system's notification bar, flooded with messages mostly about the significant increase in Transfiguration proficiency.

Evan couldn't help but wonder if avoiding the transformation of magical creatures might have prolonged that state, possibly elevating Transfiguration to level 5.

Maintaining that state indefinitely would be ideal... Evan even fancifully thought he could match Dumbledore.

Well... within the limits of his magical range.

Lastly, the addition of Blood Magic was anticipated.

According to "Bloodline Origins" found in the Restricted Section, successfully fusing with a magical creature's bloodline typically grants a portion of its innate abilities, like the extraordinary charm of a Veela-blooded wizard.

Yet, the Blood Magic section only displayed large question marks, revealing nothing else...
