Volume 1: Chapter 4

Greg looked at the shaking Smith, a smile formed on his face. He deliberately let Howard look for him, as it's part of the plan.

Smith can't be fully trusted that's why with the use of Greg's position as Howard's son. Smith will never even have a single thought on running away with the manuscript.

Howard looked at the young man that was conversing with Greg earlier. Howard read the report on this man named smith. Now he was suspicious if Smith deliberately used Greg to get closer with him. "Aren't you Mr. Smith?" Howard asked.

Smith trembled and gave a wry smile to Howard he didn't knew what to answer since he's day has already been filled with such bizarre encounters.

"I was wandering alone in the company and got lost in the parking lot. Uncle here helped me" Greg lied with a straight face.

"Ah really, thank you smith" Howard got suspicious once more but didn't show it instead he gave a soft smile and patted smith's shoulder.

"It was nothing Mr. Stark" Smith's face twitched.

"Greg, tony let's go back to the company" Howard held both their hands and walked away.

Greg turned his head to Smith and gave a smile. "Now that you know don't even dare on running way with my manuscript" Greg said softly to make sure only Smith could hear.

Smith in return shivered, he pressed his car key and got inside. Smith drove away and went home he was tired physically and mentally at what just transpired.

After Smith left, Howard looked at Greg suspiciously. "Greg let's talk at home" Howard said. Greg flinched and sighed, it seems like Howard noticed something.

They've gone home, and Greg was yet again reprimanded by Maria and hugged him after. They ate dinner with bliss, Maria tucked tony to sleep while Greg was sitting face to face with his father at the office.

Greg sighed, and told Howard about the contract with smith.

After telling, Greg thought that Howard would once again reprimand him but instead Howard hugged Greg and smiled. "Next time if you want to do something then tell me alright?" Howard said with a soft laugh.

After that Howard tucked Greg to sleep and conversed with Maria then falling asleep after.

The next day Greg had a meeting with Smith. Howard and Greg drove to the meeting place.

"Ah, Mr. stark what are you doing here?" Smith asked.

"Well I'm here to make sure that you won't swindle my child" Howard said, they sat at the seat with a lawyer.

Greg and smith talked about the business and the needs of funds. As well as the distribution of the money.

Howard stayed silent yet he listened attentively, he looked at Greg with a proud smile.

After the talk Howard and Greg went home, Greg was tired so he lazed around his bedroom the whole afternoon.

'System when can I use my powers?' Greg asked, he's already five years old and he's power still hasn't manifested.

Greg rolled around the bed, he hated how long he has to wait just so he can use his powers.
