What lies behind the darkness

(Toji POV)

Well isn't this nice ... once again I am here and about to be crushed by the full force that is the void of this universe. The Garganta is seconds before it breaks and like the Black Hole that I created, to implode in a cataclysm of universal forces. In other words, I am about to be crushed by the void's full force surrounding the entire Bleach Universe.

"How intriguing. And here I thought that I wouldn't experience such a thrill anymore ... well then ... bring it on!", Toji said and in that moment everything went black ... literally. The Garganta broke and the entire weight of the void crashed into Toji all at once.

(3rd Person POV)

How heavy is the void? Can you measure it? Is it limitless? Is it nothing? Was Toji crushed ... or was he pulled apart? Or maybe all of the above? Does it matter ... who knows? But what we do know is that Toji, for all of his power ... blacked out. It seemed that he couldn't handle the force of an entire universe crashing into him ... yet.

Toji opened his eyes and took a moment for his vision to return. He felt ... terrible. Like back then when he was killed by being beaten up. He takes his time to sit up. After all, he just went through a very peculiar experience, that should have killed him. But can you imagine the main character dying ... yeah neither does Toji. However, it was not as simple as it might have seemed.

The only thing that saved Toji was his powerful mind, which never for a second thought that he would die. On the contrary, he was convinced that he would grow so much more powerful and the little wish-granting orb listened. His powers in general saved him. And then he grew more powerful. Quite the experience.

Toji sat there for a second and looked around. He was on a beach. In front of him was the sea ... or at least he thought so. It was beautiful, to say the least. The view was the best he had ever had. Palm trees behind him, the almost white soft sand and the deep blue sea in front of him. Was he in heaven?

No Toji wasn't in heaven. He was somewhere ... very interesting.

"PIRATES!!!", someone screamed and ran through the village that Toji had found on the island. He was sure that it was an island because he had walked along the beach and after three days, he ended up right where he started.

When he walked around the island, he found a nice medieval-like port with wooden ships. Then he saw ... humans ... at least he thought he did. They looked funny and different from the humans he knew about. He walked through the streets and listened to their language. He imagined himself understanding what was being said and then he did.

These were normal villagers, going about their lives. But he found out that pirates were a big threat here. He wasn't sure why that would be the case but guessed it was due to the world not being as developed yet.

I was on an Island called Bombago Island. The name was due to the fruit called Bombago which was a delicacy around here. And this island was located in the first half of the Grand Line ... oh.

(Toji POV)

I'm in the world of One Piece. I wonder whether the worlds of Bleach and One Piece are close to each other for me to get here. But what an opportunity this is. I can relax a bit and have some fun with the big shots around here. I did think about using the naginata and Kikoo and learning how to use one. And there is only one famous pirate around here that I know who uses a naginata.

So what was this about a pirate? Someone screamed pirate just now, so let me have a look.

I walk towards the dock and see a pirate ship approaching. I look at the Jolly Roger and what I see ... is a skull with a long, curly moustache. What do you know ... I sure am lucky. Meeting the future Pirate King this early on.

I wait for the ship to dock and then see the pirates jump down. I must say I wonder what sort of chaos they will cause here because there is a Marine brach stationed here. And if my calculations are correct then ... yep here they come.

"Roger Pirates. I am Commodore Schroedinger of this Marine base. You are ordered to stand down or we will have to use force..."

Haha, what an idiot. Like that would ever work. These guys are as unhinged as you can imagine. So that tactic wouldn't work EVER.

"Marines ATTACK!!!", the Commodore screamed and the fight began. I was standing in the middle of everything and just watched as I seemingly was forgotten by the Marines ... I wonder why that is ... oh shit.

I was suddenly attacked from behind. The sword collided with my body ... and did absolutely nothing. I was confused there for a second. I looked at the pirate and asked him.

"What are you doing?"

"Impressive block Marine. But that won't happen again!", the pirate said and attacked again.

"Wait what did you just call me?", I ask as the pirate swings his sword and tries to strike me again.

*Cling*

The sound of metal hitting metal is heard. My defence has grown so much since I fought against Beerus. I just tanked the void of an entire universe crashing into me and he thinks he can hurt me with ... a steel sword?

"What are you? Is it a devil fruit? Shit, you're stronger than the ordinary Marines. I'll have to use Haki.", the pirate says and covers his sword with Haki.

"Dude, I am not a Marine!"

"TAKE THIS!", he screams and tries to slice me again. I have had enough of that and just blocked his sword with one finger. I am sure that showing off my strength would make him listen to me.

"W-what?!"

"Fred! Let me help you!", another one says and attacks them as well. I then grab 'Fred' by the collar and throw him towards the second pirate.

"Would you stop! I am not a Ma-"

"Take this you Marine scum!", a voice says from behind me. I sigh and turn around only to see two small boys attacking me. One of the two is a redhead who has a straw hat on and the other has an orange hat and a red ...

"A clown?", the words escape my mouth.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?! You will die!!!", the red-nosed boy screams and attacks me with two daggers. I dodge the attacks with ease and soon, the boy is out of breath. I look at him and see that he is missing ... an arm.

"Hehe, you didn't expect that did you?! Bara Bara Ho!!"

The boy's hand comes flying from behind me and hits me in the back. I don't even feel it though and just look at him with a deadpan expression. He is surprised and also a bit angry that his attack didn't do anything.

"ARGH!! Take this!", the clown tries to attack again but I have enough. I chop his head with the weakest amount of strength I can. It is still enough to knock the boy out instantly.

"BUGGY!!!", the redhead screams. He didn't fight with his friend at all. I am already in this mess, so I'm gonna teach these kids something while I'm at it.

"Why are you screaming boy?", I say to him.

"What? You hurt Buggy! I will-"

"Why are you screaming I asked."

"W-What?"

"You are screaming. Why is that? Does it help you in any way?"

"YOU!!! You hurt Buggy .. I-I ..."

"Are you angry?"

"OF COURSE!", he screams and attacks me. I indulge him a bit dodge three of his swings and then block it with my finger again. He tries to push as hard as he can and I use that. I pull my hand a bit back and he loses his balance and moves forward.

I then perform a small circle motion with my finger and disarm him with ease. As the weapon flies through the air I flick him in the head with a finger, sending him to the ground. He is not knocked out though.

"OWWW.... It hurts!!"

"As it should. Stupidity should not be rewarded. Tell me, boy, what is your name anyway?"

"Urgh ... Shanks."

"Well then Shanks, tell me what you did wrong there."

"Wrong? What do you mean? You are too strong."

"Indeed but me being strong doesn't explain how you failed so miserably. So what was your mistake?"

"I ... I don't know."

"You got angry. Anger doesn't help you in a fight such as this. You have to keep your emotions in check and not let them control you. Letting yourself be controlled by your emotions is equal to slavery."

"I'M NOT A SLAVE!!!"

"That's not what I-", I was about to tell him what I meant when I felt his will manifest and Haoshoku Haki almost emanated from him. It seems he has a bad experience with slavery. But it wasn't enough to activate his Haoshoku Haki just yet.

"You aren't listening to me are you?"

"ARGHH!!", he is completely out of his mind right now. He grabs his sword that is stuck in the ground and attacks me with it.

"Maybe I wasn't going about this the right way. Then let me give you another important lesson boi ... pick your enemies wisely and don't bite more than you can chew!"

I then give him a piece of my aura. Not Haki or Reiatsu, just my intent at that moment.

Shanks stops in his tracks and just looks at me ... he lets go of his sword and even pees his pants. All of his muscles lose their strength and he falls to the ground. I immediately stop my intent when a man arrives and catches Shanks before he can make contact with the ground.

"Thanks for going easy on him.", the man said.

The man wore a long red captain's coat. Beneath his coat, he wore a blue shirt and had a yellow sash around his waist. He wore a white cravat around his neck, dark blue pants, and what appeared to be black sea boots.

"What's your name, Marine?"

"My gosh, I am not a Marine! I tried to say this to everyone before but no one listened. I'm just Toji. Toji Fushiguro."

"Oh, well then well met, Toji. I am Gol D. Roger, the Captain of the Roger Pirates."

"Truly? That's cool."

Roger was a tall and very muscular man. His most prominent physical features were his curved black moustache, the fierce grin he wore, and his intense eyes. He also had thick black hair and a short, thick neck. Overall I could tell that he was a powerful man. But that's not what impressed me the most. It was the man's charisma. You couldn't not like him.

"So what are you doing here Toji?"

"Hm? Well, I was just looking for someone strong to fight against. You see I am trying to get better with my naginata. So I'm just wandering around, observing the beautiful world and enjoying myself. That's all there is to it."

"Rahahahahaha, that's the spirit Toji. You have quite the spirit I can tell. How about joining my crew for a bit? You never know what might happen. We could use someone like you, you'd fit right in.", Roger said with his fierce grin.

"Haha, alright then, Roger. But I feel like we should have a good spar before that no?"

"A spar? Rahahaha is that what you call it? Are all the people you meet that much weaker than you?"

"Well ... yes."

"Rahahahaha, alright then let us have a spar. Should be interesting."
