I agree, most of the CN novels I have read especially the ones with harem has girls falling out nowhere falling in love with the MC and after that they are forgotten and just become mindless robots. Though I have to say I like Mao Ni's novels and even the romance in them. Even sode characters in Mao Ni's novels seem interesting. Although sometimes his writings seems way too vague or maybe the meaning is just lost in translation.

Garkour:I know that The Emperor Of Solo Play has literally no other side character allied with the MC,the novel isn't found here but it's a good read
