Stats and First impression:- Website: Qidian CN Status: Ongoing with about 2900+ chapters Views: 3.57 Million Recommendations: ~60 Thousand No. of Works: 2 Rating: 8.8/10 from 47 users Why did they sanction another cliched novel to be translated? I know cliches can't be avoided but it can be covered up with better writing but this novel is one of those which has a stale plot and cardboard characters, I'm sure of it after reading the raws.... Who decides on the novels to be translated? Don't they have better taste? There are clearly better novels out there but why sanction this novel containing recycled plot. Guys CN readers have rejected this novel! Do you know how? Look at the no of chapters, its close to 3000 chapters but look at the no of ratings, its only 47. Compare the no of views with recommendations, its 3.6 million views against 60 thousand recommendations. It clearly suggests that readers only bothered to check this novel out when they didn't have anything better to read and they didn't even bother to recommend it to others or even rate the novel for that matter. If you like transmigration CN fantasy novels with a stale plot and cardboard characterizations, then this novel is certainly for you!

Probably, there is issue over moving present translations with the current translators. Both novels have 150+ translated chapters. It would be great if they could continue the translations😔 I also want novels like 'zhui xu' or 'my master got disconnected yet again' to be translated😔😔😢

I beg to differ. There are always going to be those closet extremist or purist who don't want their works to be sullied by 'outsiders'. And while Qidian holds the right to those publications on their sites, QI on the other hand is not Qidian. There's always gonna be bureaucracy issues somewhere. Who knows, they're shady enough as is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All the points you brought out are applicable to Western culture, but China has a different operating culture. If they can sanction the translation of more than 100 novels then they should not have difficulties sanctioning what we ask. I feel the issue lies in the difficulty of translation, I feel especially the Chinese action fantasy novels with hard terminologies are being ignored, there are a few novels like 'Tales of herding Gods', etc but if you observe there are very few novels like that in the site. Also, 'Legend of the Great Saint' has an author who goes on hiatus frequently, so they might be apprehensive that he may not complete the novel. Or probably they let the translators take a call on what to translate.

Right!! sometimes the choices seem like choosing the lesser evil or sometimes not having a choice at all.

I only vote for SS, voting only increases the speed of novel coming to the site, it doesn't do anything else. Sometimes it's arbitrarily ignored if u have observed.

If you vote a novel bad because of that you have no taste. If you have a issue with them not realsing books you want to read you can sboot them a email or go to the fourms. Also how far in the raws did you read? With 2.9k chapters i feel like qidan would have shut it down if it wasnt good or if the author would of tried something else instead of writing the same story if barely any one was reading it.
