My advice is to not read this. It starts with rape and then continues as the story of how rape is actually forgivable as she falls in love with the rapist. Apparently. I stopped reading shortly after the rape, but know the basic plot from the anime. I'm baffled as to how the author doesn't get that they've written something vile here. In any case, the anime is great. go watch it instead. I made the mistake of being so charmed by the anime, I decided to read the book and now I want brain bleach. The anime removes the rape, making the ml overbearing and rather low EQ rather than a disgusting rapist. It works beautifully, which just goes to prove that it was unnecessary, pointless and gross in the first place. *Smacks the author upside the head*
