I can’t express how disappointed I am with this story. I finished reading it and can’t help but have a bitter taste in my mouth. This story had such a good plot, development, and characters. They were full of life, the MC’s progress was tangible to the point you Yourself felt you were learning. Link became such a badass from his initial naïveté. However, what killed me was the end. This story should have been prolonged towards the 1000 chapter, instead of the initial 700+ chapters. Why am I saying this? Well, by the beginning of the 700th chapter I kept having a feeling that the author was rushing the plot too much. When Link was barely a lvl 13 legendary he was directly pushed to lvl 16 by the Archmage. This change announced the beginning of a horrible development. All the steady progress we had made, each milestone he hit became meaningless. The author wanted this novel to end, and by rushing the plot he made a series of significant changes to the story that countered the slow and steady pace this series had. The very nature of this story changed in 10 short chapters. The author felt that it was taking too long for Link to become powerful, so he directly pushed him into Godhood by some BS development he pulled out of his ass. This story had great potential; it’s slow but rewarding pace was excellent. Its a shame he decided it wasn’t worth the time to develop it.

Fresh412:In terms of Wuxia I have been avoiding them lately because I got pretty burnt out by them Hmm, I Shall Seal the Heavens, King of Gods, and anything from the Douluo Dalu franchise is pretty good. Ancient Strengthening Technique, and Throne of Primordial blood I dropped, not because of the story, but because the love relationships were absolute dogcrap. Throne of Primordial Blood is especially good, like incredibly good, but I couldn’t push through the cheating in later chapters (call me a whiner all you want but that relationship left me with a bad taste). I don’t remember too much, but if you’re willing you can give Panlong(Coiling Dragon) a chance, its pretty good. Well, I hoped I haven’t bothered you too much with my monologues. Hope you can find something you can read!
Shou_Hei_Kun:This sounds kinda similar to night ranger. I loved the story but i realized at some point things began to move too fast. thanks for the review, i will not be reading this because i hate such endings.

Well, if you haven’t read the Lord of the Mysteries, its probably one of the best stories Ive ever read. If your into science and magic, I’d recommend Throne of Magical Arcana. If your into overpowered MCs with good plot, Id recommend Everyone else is a Returnee and Only I level up. In the Wuxia aspect Id recommend Perfect World or Martial World. If your looking for an MC that is always in danger but always comes out on top, Id recommend Worlds Apocalypse Online. If you’re looking for a novel that has a solid balance between cultivation and plot id recommend Birth of the Demonic Sword. I’ve read many novels but these are the one at the top of my head. Idk if youve read any of these, but if you have, they’re definitely worth your while, especially the first one. If you have anything specific in mind, just ask me.

Thank you so much for the recommendations. I would recommend things for you but you seem to be a bit more advanced than me haha. I’m into wuxia novels, systems, i LOVE birth of demonic sword, magical and science are some of my favs too. Honestly anything like that that you can recommend would be awesome.
