The synopsis and tags all seem pretty generic. It’s been so long since Webnovel published a book with an interesting premise. I don’t see anything unique or worth reading yet. Maybe I’ll check back in a few months

I will probably never read this garbage, just the description alone offends me on a biological level. Seriously, I always despised chinese romance(because it's almost never done right and tends to completely ruin novels, be it early or halfway through) and I hate it even more when the mc's motivation is some half-arsed retarded crap such as "saving my beloved", "winning the heart of the girl I like" or "not being able to live without her". F*ck that. Get some real f*cking motivations, extremely exaggerated and cheesy love is the last thing I'm looking for in my novels, especially if it seems to be written by teenage virgins with extremely illogical and copy-paste views on love that has to fit a certain pattern that is "chinese", where the characters doesn't even have any of the original personality left when it's time to be lovey-dovey. The only thing that sounds relatively cool is the "king of mercenaries" part, but seems this guy is more of a romeo than a proper mercenary, just like usual, another worthless background setting to give excuses as to why the mc is so "skilled".

Everybody has their own preferences , you have yours and the others have theirs aswell , atleast don't judge the content just because the synopsis described it at that , if you don't like it then just ignore the novel and don't write reviews like this , or at the very least control that sharp tounge , even if you think this is garbage doesn't mean that everybody thinks that way

But the majority will find this ****, why then does qidian then release these generic trash novels? These kind of stories are only written for the fast $$$, the author doesnt need to be creative just combine 3 different novels voila money comes flying...

They write novels and in turn we read them and give them money , that's a mutual benefit for Authors and us readers , if you think Authors just wrote for the fun of it and the enjoyment only then you're wrong , most of them wrote novels for the sake of money and what's wrong with that? Being an Author is also a career and you have no right to judge those Authors just because they wrote the same thing for money , if you don't like the story then read another story that you liked and don't go writing stuff like this , maybe you and some of the readers don't like reading the same thing over and over again but some of the readers enjoyed reading the same thing over and over again because it gives them the satisfaction like what you get when reading a novel you liked , just because you read alot of stories that are similar to this story doesn't gives you the right to judge the story badly and badmouth the author like that , and by the way , there are ALOT of authors in the world and you can't expect each and everyone of them to write a different kind of stories than the others right? And if you for example liked a genre of 'Systems' or 'Reincarnation' and the story is completed but you craved for that same genre and the author refuses to continue the story again since it's completed you would automatically try to find a novel that is similar to the one you liked right? I'm writing my own novel on here and it has eight published chapters. I do it because it's fun and I already have a weekday job to support myself!

Yes it is an idiotic practice to give you a generic synopsis then expect people to give a realistic review so you get a bunch of 1 or 5 star reviews for a story no one has read.

I'm going to add a few things to this argument. 1. Writing for ****** profit is not inherently wrong. Ethically speaking since webnovels are a form of entertainment there should always be an attempt to entertain without jeopardizing integrity of the business. 2. Just because they write for profit does not excuse poor writing behavior. 3. You can write great, and creative novels and still earn a profit. The difference shown is that these authors don't care about there writing style or reputation as an author. They plagiarize, form improper stories, develop poor plots, and characters and write as if there incompetent. And the community of authors copy this bad behavior which feeds into this problem of over saturating the Chinese community witb their nonsense novels. 4. The readers are also to blame for this problem. They allow authors to constantly write poor novels without question, comment or concern which again feeds the problem. 5. Every form of entertainment copy and gain ideas from each other. It's an inevitable process. But!!! There's a difference in simply copying and pasting same material over and over again compared to using that same material, add in creativity, inguinty, and expression to create a brand new product. One example creates stagnation the other example growth and development. It shouldn't be to hard to figure out which part Chinese novels lean towards.

I agree with you. My very body was offended by the mere existence of this and attempted to snap my phone is half. Luckily, with Willpower I have overcome this tribulation of the heart's demon and took back control before it happened. This comment is without a doubt the one I have had the most fun writing.
