Ok . I know people here don't usually give a F U C K about a well structured review and neither does this novel deserve one , but i am unfortunately a slave of habit ,so this will indeed be long. Its bad . Really bad . its ironic how novels belonging to the lowest strata in terms of quality are usually highly popular , for example- True Martial World and Martial God Asura to name few . Story development- 1 star - its actually more about the story of the eye and less about the guy with it . Treasures , conflict for resources , arrogant prick of an mc defecating and angering everyone everywhere . Fight ,win go to bigger pond with bigger fish , rinse repeat . The story about the eye is mildly interesting and that is what kept me going for 888 chaps. Character Design-1 star - would've given 0 if i had the provision to do so . So i need not say anything more. World Background - Same old ,same old . Its so damn repetitive that i had to skim through almost 200 chaps and then i couldn't take it any longer . Read it at your own discretion ,but honestly you will be better off not reading this piece of inferior work

Sure. I don't really read the romance genre so i won't be able to suggest you anything in that , but in the textbook xianxia and xuanhuan genre you could try 'tales of herding gods' . It has a fantastic world building , very good character development , breaks away from a lot of cliches with a lot of interesting commentary on what constitutes a cultivator . The prose is ****** and direct , sometimes a bit bland but nothing problematic . The other one you could try is Reverend Insanity ; insanely well structured plot , simplistic but ingenious cultivation system . It features an absolutely evil protagonist but nowhere is the author trying to implicitly make you root for him , so you should read the story objectively . The prose is a bit broken and the cultural difference between the chinese and the west is evident . You could also try Mao Ni's 'Nightfall' . Its my personal favorite among all his other novels .The prose is highly eloquent (bordering on poetry) and is the closest thing to real literature you will find on this site . If you have a penchant for poetry , you will be awestruck by his use of metaphors . The plot is very well structured , methodical and sequential and gives a lot of time to readers to familiarize themselves with the characters who are again very well fleshed . Speaking anything else would be a spoiler ,so go read it! You could also give 40 millenniums of cultivation a try . It caters to quite a few cliches but the story really lifts off at around 430 . Highly action packed , decently written , ingeniously planned fights before 430 , after which the story becomes grittier and has some of the best sociological commentary i have seen in a book . Some of the jargon in the earlier chapters might seem incomprehensible to a person who isn't acquainted with high school science , so i won't recommend it to those who are intending to just have a light read . That's all for now , happy reading!

I would recommend 4 novels: Super gene - it’s a good futuristic cultivation novel which has fleshed characters (2 chapters a day) Legendary mechanic - in the later chapters it’s a bit rinse and repeat though it is still a very good novel that I highly recommend (dropped a while back as I read a few hundred chapters ahead on machine translation then tried to remember how to speak English but I think it was about 1 chap a day) Second coming of Glutony - is a very good novel even though it is a “transferred to another world” genre it has a good mix between comedy and seriousness my only gripe with it is how they turned some of the characters (Hugo) into big ***** children for comedy though it’s very good over all (1 chap a day) Cultivation group chat - it’s not as serious as the other sudgestions and lots of what happens to the Mc is coincidental and lucky and it’s a very slow read (the first 700 chapters can be summed up as “he becomes a cultivator and goes on a tractor race”) but it’s a light hearted comedy and you can easily understand what’s going on. I like this one as it’s not just the usual “you looked at me funny I swear to the heavens I will slay you and your nine family” or “just a frog in a well not knowing the immensity of heaven and earth”. (1 chap a day)
