Once upon a time, I gave this novel great reviews. But now, I can't even read it. It isn't even completed or near completion but its locked chapters already cost you about $100. It's far overpriced with some chapters costing (I saw one being 23). The pricing MUST be reconsidered if webnovel even has the goal of letting readers finish a novel. Otherwise, just Google a novel like this and you'll find links to similar novels that are free.

LIKEThe book's fine but definitely not worth its price tag. My rating is relative to the price. I understand that better novels may want to charge more, but this one isn't 3 times better than other novels like its price.
Coventina:Just curious but, why is your rating so low when it's just the price problem???? That doesn't mean the book is not good....

The pricing is entirely Webnovel's fault, they do pricing by word count. Every 200 words is 1SS. Under this type of pricing model, generally the longer the chapter the higher the average word count per SS since they probably round up to the next SS. I'm actually a bit worried that the average price has been dropping, since it might mean that the new translators are summarizing some of the more difficult to translate portions in order to keep up with the release schedule. This never happened with ryuxenji. They shouldn't have driven her out.
Webnovel is absolutely black-hearted so don't expect them to reasonably price novels nor allow you to read your unlocked chapters in the future. (They re-lock chapters you've unlocked after a certain period of time, not sure if that's in their TOS or whatever it would be in) All I am going to say, is there is a reason why there are so many other sites who allow people to read for free, because nobody likes Qidian. And there's definitely a reason for nobody liking them.
