Alternate Name: Prequel to "Face-smacking Goddess of Acting Reincarnation Novel" I didn't read the novel when was first released. So, awaiting updates on the novels I have in my library, I remember this. This... thing. I get into the first few chapters. I think: so, the male lead is cold to the protagonist. Cool. This is an arranged marriage after all!? There's also a misunderstanding between them... I read some more. Turns out he raped her. I skip to chapter 80+ to see if it gets better. I skimmed nervously across my phone. My eyes catch a sentence. I begin to read...just my luck, it was a chapter just after *another* rape. He also blamed her for it. So now he is the one Who Shall Not Be Named a. K. A. Trash. The book is 900+ chapters and, if I read his book, I'll have to read about multiple rapes, abuse, then that sickening thing that Trash does when he defends MC, to assuage his own guilt, then throws it back into MCs face. In real life, ptsd comes from this kind of Trash. This is the kind of male leads that spawns reincarnation books. This trash right here. MC is a victim, but she's constantly spouting how she "loves" him. It's like the author is trying to convince the audience that he's not as bad as it seems (he definitely is, but for some reason this method is working!?) No, she doesn't love him. She finches every time he comes near. She's scared of Trash, but dlshe's codependent. MC doesn't need him, she needs to LEAVE. In conclusion, I'm done with this book. The fact this book is highly rated is disgusting. I can't say anything about update stability as I'm just now reading it, so one star. I can't stomach giving this steaming pile of crap anything more than 1 star.
