We were never reading for free. Those ad's that they have at the bottom of each page make them money every time we view them. They also make money every time we watch their Video Ad's too. However, due to the greed I won't be reading this anymore. Now they want us to pay them $30 a month to read only 4 (four) LN on webnovel.com? NO thanks I can get Cable TV for that price. Or i can get NetFlix for $10 a month. Other translation sites do just fine with Ad's and Donation Links. Sheesh.... If these guys are so MONEY HUNGRY (GREEDY) then why not just put 2 or 3 video Ad's per chapter instead.... It will be a pain in the but t to go through that many Ad's, but at least it is better than "give me all you money" paywall crap that we have now.
