A poorly designed world that runs on gags, the characters seem like they are pulled out of a book at the 400th chapter, which incidentally they actually might be. The system is awesome however it is hardly ever used and in the first 30 ish chapters nothing good happens other than watching a grown man be hilariously petty in an evil sense, it's fun but it isn't special, and unless the system is brought out more or he starts a new story/adventure as his OP self the novel just isn't great yet.

"A poorly designed world that runs on gags" for person that superficially in touch with fantasy genre and gaming industry gold time 1995-2010 or completely ignorant about them. Gags re good and quite funny, they are made sometimes intentionally stampy and positive, quite opposite to this sour, salty "serious critic" opinion. Characters live and change during narration, motivated in own way and are logical, author is not focused on antagonist-protagonist-hero-antihero confrontation or else, he/she implements real alike ( for this setting and genre) personalitites/system. "Nothing good happens" is purely personal preference, just like, studying or slacking, gym or mmo's, women or men XD . "Op" - out of comments. Is it xianxia or wuxia? XD Nothing personnal, since you are also reader, you got to know the proverb about frog glancing in the sky? Regards
You can't be more wrong. "poorly designed world" ? Ahahahah ! This is one of the better designed world i have never read in a chinese/japanese/corean work of author. It's so mutch better to all this copy-and-past xanxia/wuxia you see almost all the time in Quidian. Character are realy like-alife, able to change, progres, evolve other than "better most OP". All the world is grey, and the plot is full of twist and intricate pattern, but logical and realist one. "mlt" are right, you are a "frog in the well".
