I'm glad someone said it. I read this awhile ago on another site, it is exactly like that. One of the comments above said It's like all the pro's of japanese stories and none of the con's, and I almost spat out my tea. It has exactly the same con as all japanese stories - MC is ultimately a white knight pussy who hasn't had a single erection in his entire life. It doesn't matter if he has 15 peerless beauties falling in love with him, he will never do a single thing with them. Like all japanese harem stories, a futile exercise in frustration.

I was able to read this before but for the same reason as what you've mentioned I dropped it. Now I was trying to see if there's an improvement on his relationship towards the female side characters but there's still none? That's just sad.
