The main reason I gave this novel such a low rating is that the author seems to constantly forget about previous things that YY has learned and/or characters that contribute to his power ups. One key example is his aspect totem, the 9 neonate. It is supposed to grow along with YY since it is a "beast mark of life" which allowed it to go through a heavenly tribulation back in the Tian Yuan world. However, nothing has happened to it since then. YY has grown multiple realms (nearly 4 full realms if I'm not wrong), but the 9 neo is still at the 1st tribulation which doesn't make any sense. He has eaten how many high level resources and nothing made it go through the 2nd tribulation? I call BS. Another example is the godly OP bow he received from the God Advent Tower spirit. From what I remember, it was made from divine beast parts which is on the same level of his 3-legged golden crow(don't quote me on this, didn't feel like re-reading that whole arc for this review). YY could use around 5-10% of its power when he was at the yuan opening realm(again, don't quote me on that), but he has never even touched the bow since leaving the Tian Yuan world. It's almost safe to assume that the author completely forgot about the bow entirely. Lastly, I gave this novel this rating because the author once said back when this novel used to be on GravityTales that he would flush out the main story within 500-800 chapters. This notice was around chapter 550 or so, but I have yet to see where the main story is supposed to go. I can see that YY will fight with the White Lunar Empire soon and obviously win due to plot armor and 1337 hax, but nothing about what happens from there. There is no big bad enemy at the end of the tunnel, no dark forces watching from the shadows, nothing so much as an inkling of knowledge on who/what YY will be fighting to end the story. I guess you could say that I've been waiting for something to be revealed and yet I feel disappointed every time. You could take my rant/review for a grain of salt, but this is just how I feel about this novel. I've been reading almost since the beginning, and I've just longing for the author to come up with more story telling that doesn't involve near useless random/stepping stone characters. Thanks for your time. :]

Well for the "where the story is going" I think it's better like this than MW because we could anticipate that the last fight will be against the devils and their boss (I think he was the one being sealed in the depths? We saw that way before he went to the devils territory), but in TMW we only know the bronze giants and the demons and we don't know anyone who can be a last boss other than the one being sealed in the PC. As for the aspect totem, I'm with you that's really a shame. If I rate this novel, I will give it 2 stars, 2 for the translator, 2 for the story, and minus 2 for the author because of his milking.
the author kept his word... he DID flesh out the story line within 800 chapters. the rest is just the mc going to a different realm where he becomes the weakest again and keeps growing. i too hate the fact that he keeps forgetting his older power ups. the bow was one. the totems were another(he's supposed to get more totems and evolve the totems he already has, but it never happens) ... the gold avatar and the demon puppet are also never seen from again after too much hype. the bow was supposed to be a bow that a divine lord could use to great effect... and its never seen from again. he had a snake that replaced the neonates and even that is never seen from again after just one evolution too!
A***, yep all of you have pointed it all out. I feel sorry for the neonate, poor baby. And that silver silkworm. And the bow! Wasn’t that given to him by Azure Yang Lord as an inheritance? By this point, I’m pretty sure that all he got from the Ancient Great Empress mystic realm is the God Advent tower. The Ascending Cauldron plays too much role lol.
after what i see in chapter 1620+ I realize the author was just trying to branch off mc martial world. It was almost like making second Lin Ming. When you compare Martial world to true martial world you see the difference. If someone ask me if they should read martial world or true martial world? What you think I will tell them.
I agree, he also forgot the pure yang sword palace back in the tian yuan world, the sword spirit said that he could come back again to pass the test when he developed the heart of sword before reaching the age of 100. I was really looking forward to it and yet, hayss. Another thing is that broken sword, I thought that it would be his weapon once he complete fixing it, I mean why bother putting mysteries on it if it will really be forgotten in the end. One thing that I really looked forward to is the duo of YY and LX but LX is basically non existent in the novel, yeah I know she's very weak to stand up against the celestials but It wouldnt hurt if the author shows some interaction between YY and LX.
The gold avatar was destroyed during his assassination from the sect (I forgot its name) back in the ten thousand empyrean heaven, but yeah the author really forgot his old power ups and its frustrating for me.
