Review Detail of Grimhaven in Swallowed Star

Ok, it's a finished novel and I just got into it a few days ago because of IET's newest novel, Archean Eon Art. So far that novel is going great. So far, I've read all 6 of IET's previous work prior to AEA, and have 3 of them in my library because they are that good. The other three, I've dropped, including this one. Here's my assessment. Its a cultivation novel set in the modern world. World Background was good, story was getting there and characters were getting fleshed out. And iET's style of writing was present and it flowed nicely, per usual. Then right before I got to chapter 100, things went south for me immediately. I have no idea if it's the translation, the way he wrote it, or how the series of events were conveyed, but to me, I no longer wanted to root for the MC. The intent was to let the readers feel that the MC's actions were justified and you move on and get satisfied about the opposing sides outcome (they die, or become the MC's training dummy). However, for me, it became the other way around. I started to root for the parents whose child the MC decided to kill. If this has happened to you, then you know it gets worse because they don't get justice, they become training fodder for the MC and you start to loathe him. And that's where I stopped, before chapter 100. I was sad because there was like 1300+ chapters and I didn't even pass 100, lol. Verdict: Dropped.
