Other people have already mentioned the humor and the witty MC. For me however what sets this novel apart from most cultivation novels is: * Violence, specially lethal one, is the last resource. People don't go killing each other semi-randomly because they feel offended every second word. * The sect sincerely supports the MC, and it's not packed with jealous and intriguing elders that will backstab him asap. * (Non-evil) Sects are mostly collaborative and friendly to each other, and they will compete mostly at a political level without going on all-out wars because the second nephew thrice removed of an elder has been rejected by a random (female) disciple of another sect. All in all, a novel you'll enjoy if you are tired of courting death and getting your scalp numb...
