I like it but at the same time its'sthe inconsistency of the character of the kid that makes the reading experience less enjoyable. Three years of brainwashing is enough for a lifetime and he was brainwashed for eleven years to supress and his emotions. But for some reason everyone around him can sense his emotions. Also as a killer, he is annoyingly naive and pure. He knew damn well that he was a monster bred and captivity to hunt other monsters, so it really shouldn't weaken his convictions especially since that is all he has ever known. I can understand hesitating over life choices. No amount of brainwashing helps that but for him to even hesitate over killing scum is like college sluts saying they have had enough fun and they wanna remain virgins before marriage. Maybe I missed the analogy but the point is story and concept is good, execution is flawed
