Thanks for the feedback. From Mara's point of view, she would want to be involved in the plot because she was obsessed with the movies and media. If anyone was suddenly transported into a universe they knew inside and out, most would try to interact with the plot if they had the ability and/or opportunity to do so. She doesn't need S.H.I.E.L.D., she just thinks it would be fun to do secret agent stuff while also making sure that she's aware of any changes to the timeline that her presence caused. This will also be the times when I have her do her own thing. If I just went movie to movie, with nothing original, there would be no point reading the novel as you could just watch the movies. Although she isn't a vigilante, I could have written her to work solo and without the other heroes. But, in my opinion, it would be a waste of the material that the MCU offers.
