Just find this translation weird as the person who did so seems to not know English all that well, put it through a translator or just couldn’t care to go back and fix mistakes. It feels and reads like an above average native English chinese author, which although bearable isn‘t all that good. who made their work English to grab a larger audience. I’m all for translations however going back theough chapters at least once would be nice as it stands the grammar severely inhubits the characterization. Not to mention that if you don’t read nonsensical books with weird grammar you’ll barely have any idea of what’s going on. Overall just find it a little lazy which because of the neglect has the characterization and overall worldbuilding suffer. It also makes you feel dumber as with all badly translated works you have to pick iut what makes sense slowing down your reading quite a bit.
