Hmm not in the typical sense. I don’t want to spoil anything by accident but I’m also not a fan of heavy emphasis on romance in action oriented books - so my answer is a vague “yes and no”

Not too long, the first few dozen chapters focused more on his mental state and psychological progression, but once he finishes the current academy year, things are going to ramp up much faster. That said, I’m not planning on rushing for the sake of rushing :)
