The problem here isn't whether it's good or bad, it's that the person is not disclosing that this is a translation, which makes people assume that he or she is the author. Also profiteering off the work just for translating it through patreon while none of the money actually goes to the actual author who isn't even being given any credit isn't a good look either. The least the translator could do is give the link to the original version and be honest about it.
MTL is not a legitimate translation, it is a horrific amalgamation of letters and words that rarely even resembles the original story that is so horrifically written that most would rather give up on what is a wonder story then suffer a literary-stroke. People that actually invest time in translating should be praised for their hard work and while not all of them are skilled enough to complete do justice to the stories they translate, their effort should be acknowledge compared to copy the original and pasting an AI generated translation
I don't like people who steal novels or fiction, for me it's a scam the least thing is to say who the author is
