MC is supposed to be this mighty emperor, but reading all the free chapters and I barely even understand why MC is special at all. And of course, the woman he choose among the countless powerful and beautiful women fighting for his attention, is a woman that doesn't seem to so much as respect him and might even be cheating on him. What utter trash.

It's drama story with some action adventure. Maybe those details not that important... author still keeping MC history in suspense after many chapters... Maybe big reveal later. Other readers also complained why chapters locked so early

You're just flat out wrong. Reading up to chapter 10 doesn't explain why exactly MC is number 1 or why exactly he stays with a wife that doesn't respect him. In fact, chapter 10 is almost entirely MC catching his wife with a man he told her not to be around and her not believing and getting mad at him. The only thing at this point that I've seen MC be is cold a superhumanly strong. But I assume other people in the NWO are also superhumanly strong, so I still don't see why MC is special. Why MC is number 1 is an important story detail, otherwise the entire thing just feels like the world bends over backwards for him in whatever is convenient for the plot. Why MC stays with his wife is another important detail, because so much BS could be avoided if he just left her. If these two critical details can't be explained within your free chapters, why should I spend my time or money on your novel?

Or maybe the author didn't think about what MC'S actual goal is and just made a bad exposition. Also, MC secretly being at the top of the world is like, the entire premise of the novel. The author doesn't need to give a full explanation, but before chapter 8 I was genuinely thinking MC is incompetent. MC’S goal is literally the driving force behind any good story. It shouldn't be guessing game to find out what our MC is actually doing. The fact that anyone could think these two elements are unimportant is baffling.

No it's not the story you think.. completely diff... very thrilling but good luck you can try other novel in this genre... i heard mr.mrs Smith is good
