I did not have much expectations. Out of the new novels that WN are pushing to users, this is the only one that had a summary which kept original names. This story is hilarious! If you're into exaggerated comedy then give this a chance. It also becomes serious at certain parts depicting themes such as how men treat women, family relationships, etc. I couldn't wait for WN to publish more chapters so I actually read ahead from MTL... this story is worth supporting! The FL is strong and for the most part reasonable but she's not perfect. I don't care much about the ML though... maybe I need to read more to feel differently about him but he has been abusive, condescending, manipulative... you hopefully get the gist.Hopefully the translation quality stays the same or improve and WN doesn't randomly change names, etc. for the this story!

You're right about this and i am glad this fl is smart with a strong personality unlike those smart but lovesick dumb fl's in those ceo novels with low IQ and EQ in love .

Jiang Ning is realistic about her looks (anyone would fall in love at first sight with a pretty face) and she is resilient.Most webnovels don't portray the ML's actions as cruel and unreasonable instead they're shown as "bullying" the romantic interest and the said female to get all shy about it - when in fact he was forcing the woman physically. This makes this novel worth the read - because FL realises her situation and takes revenge silently
ML is pretty realistic - he's the cold CEO type - Except he's up against someone shrewd like Jiang Ning. I'm reading this because of the FL - she's shrewd, practical and loves her family.... She also adapts to eher situation because who will dare marry her and become step Daddy to the ML's kids? Even when ML claims he's faithful she keeps her head on her shoulders and lives her life depending on her own smarts to survive
Anyway he isn't that faithful in the beginning and middle of the book . If she had loved him she would have suffered more during those parts of the stories .
