I. Want. More. 🥀🦇 The slow pace of the first couple of chapters enticed me, as well as the more realistic setting. Don’t be fooled about a seemingly slow start, once it picks up, it captures you and you just can’t let go. I usually read more fantasy-aligned stuff, but this book was such an incredible departure from my usual reads. The characters, the love triangle, the romance—my heart was literally pounding in anticipation at times!! I hope Gibson O’Malley updates soon, because I have SO many questions.

Update: I just finished the whole thing. And. Wow. It took turns and twists that I didn’t expect, but it was all for the better. You could cut the tension with a KNIFE, it sometimes even read like a horror/thriller which was insane. I loved following Jonathan’s intense summer after college—and I hope other readers do too.
