MC in the first place is getting these girls confessions because he wants to live. I doubt MC actually wants a harem at all with his mindset, though the novel is so good it doesn't matter how many he ends up with.

And there isnt really any novels here that puts harem tag on non-harem novels. You’d see “No-Harem” tag in a no harem novel, and “Harem” tag on harem novels, if he wanted this novel to be monogamous then he should remove it or at least change it

I understand why but it's ridiculous to get so pent over it, but i've seen many novels with harem tags that aren't harems and many that are harems without it. i don't understand why we're completely flaming this webnovel specifically for it.

They werent flaming it tho. They just dont want the “harem” tag there because its not harem. A lot of readers came here for the harem, and they were just expressing their disappointment . I dropped this because of that reason. I read a few chapters, liked some female cast only to find out that not all of them would get their happy ending. Girls who arent the main girl in this story either end up alone and cant forget the mc or end up with some dude we know nothing about just so author could give them some closure. Either way I dont like those types of novels. Also I never saw any novels with Harem tag but ended up with only one girl.

Wrong, harem means many girls that like mc, what you're thinking of is polygamy, which is getting with many girls, so this novel is in fact tagged correctly.
