Okay, so I have many problems with this story. First of all you bring him into the world of fairy tail a world of magic and his first thoughts and only goal is to do alchemy? He wants to be like full metal alchemy If you wanted this then just do a full metal alchemy story.. Mc’s wants to not be friends with mavis but wants to be her subordinat? What. She is a child. The story makes no sense so far and just makes the mc seem stupid. The thing that has annoyed me the most is being deceived by the author. You hinted in the title it was magic and in the synopsis there is no mention at all about the mc not having magic so he will focus on the alchemy instead and overcome it. In fact if this was mentioned in the description I wouldn’t been so turned off by the story. Essentially, you are missinforming the readers to click the story and get more views. Where as if you put what the story was acc about you wouldn’t have got as many. This is what has annoyed me the most. That may not have been your intention but this is what it has felt like.

He has learned magic in fairy tail. There is a small plot hole regarding his guild not teaching him magic, but him using alchemy can be put off because it can be seen as him attempting what he thinks is the only possible way to save himself from the attack on Tenryu island. Second, he does not want to be a subdorinate to Mavis, and even if he did he would’ve changed said thought because he actually changes. He is too focused on alchemy yes, but he also has archive magic with a lot more intentions to learn even more magic. His own fanaticism for magic and the pure utility + Elric stuff made him spam and depend on it the most. All the problems you listed are only at the beginning of the story.

Idk why this has so many likes, maybe I just the story before it was possibly edited or changed, so do note that what I write about could be different then what was originally there.(spoilers from her) 2. He was born without magic so obviously he couldn’t cast it and had to rely on alchemy, till he got 2 philosophers stones, so he could get Ed’s gate of alchemy from truth and use that knowledge and mavis’s dna to give himself magic. 3. Idk what you really mean by being mavis’s subordinate maybe it changed but they are more like really good friends till later. 4. He choose archive magic to use his knowledge of the future, alchemy and previous life to its fullest and later to acquire a bunch of magic knowledge and secret stuff I won’t spoil. (Big spoiler)5. He eventually mixes alchemy and magic to become op. 6. You really gonna give a 2-star review cause of the title? Obviously there is magic as it’s fairy tail and it’s new life so there was no deception.
