As of chapter 152 easily one of the best stories i have ever read, not just on webnovel. Writing quality: 5/5 if i could give a 10/5 i would. the authors use of words and descriptions fits perfectly with the tone of the story and enhances it greatly. all in all the writing quality is one of the best ive ever seen and i found myself often rereading paragraphs a few times because they sounded so f***ing good. Stability of updates: 5/5(?) cant really say much about that yet as i only started reading this novel recently. Story development: 5/5 the story does have a slowish start (which still is by no means boring) and focuses on laying the foundations of the world and some characters, but picks up in pace massively after the first arc. Just to give you a general idea what i mean with slowish start without spoiling. The first arc all revolves around the mc planning to escape from somewhere, during which the author sets up the location of the escape like a carefully planned chessboard, which at the end all culminates in one big chaotic and epic event. Which you can easily understand because you were introduced to all the pieces and players beforehand. Character design: 5/5 not once while reading have i thought to myself something like "oh so this is 'that' type of character" or "this character makes no sense". All characters have amazing designs and a personality/motives that fit with their personal background and origin. especially the mc and his first retainer are my favourites. I mean have you ever read a story where the mc has dark gray skin, silver hair and eyes with blue patterns/stigmata all over his body? i for sure havent. World background: 10/5 The worldbuilding is together with the writing my favourite part about the novel. The world the author has created is very dark, incredibly diverse and original, magical and makes total sense within its establishes rules and history. The author takes influences from various other works of fiction like lord of the mysteries, the nevernight chronicles and HP Lovecraft's stories, improves on them, puts them through a blender and then integrates them perfectly into his world. All that together sucks you right into the story and doesnt let you go even after you finished everything that is out at the moment. tl;dr Read the book its amazing!

Thank you very much! I just stumbled on your review, as it seems to have disappeared from display. Apparently, Webnovel is working on an issue where reviews that exceed 150 characters are automatically deleted. You can shorten and post yours again if you want, as I'd very much like to pin it!
