A decent story if the author stuck to what he was good at. He attempts to introduce a love interest, which is good. It works somewhat well, which is good. Until he fucked it up. Instead of naturally progressing the characters together, an elder basically asks them if they wanna get married. Terrible way to develop a romantic subplot. I get you wanted MC to have a wife, but you didn’t have to be so low effort about it. They get somewhat close quite quickly, despite only meeting on about 5 separate occasions. The large time skips between their meetings does not give the impression that they are very passionate about each other. Their development could have been handled significantly better, but instead the author decided to smash two characters who only met a few times together. I can’t take how fast she refers to MC affectionately after just getting married. Like bro, you only met like 5 times. Terrible development on author’s part.
