Personally think the mc is stupid builds a defensive base with no sensor equipment in 5 years and doesn't look into the race he is protecting to see there cultures or to see if they would accidentally find him no matter how powerful the future enemy is, or watch the fight betweenhim and the enemy. Know ur surroundings to even the playing field is how the mc thinks but doesn't use it.
