So far I'm liking it if the Protagonist makes CDC a base of operations it would be smart, he has the Gamer system he could learn earth magic and build walls around the area, look at the image below fence off this whole area and clear the surrounding buildings and turn them into housing and medical wards, the huge patio would be used for planting, an incredible place that was not well used in the series.
