The author is actually quite good at writing, and I love what he is doing regarding fighting styles. However, I cannot keep reading this because I utterly despise how the MC thinks. His desire to to conquer yet he limits himself and the tools and picks up pokemon Willy nilly. To be the best at anything you need to use ALL resources and options available to you and give 100%. Yet with no real experience and while ignorant our MC decides to use a team of ONLY single evolution pokemon. Imagine desiring to stand above others in a field and then handicapping yourself from day one. The sheer ignorance, arrogance, and stupidity that requires is beyond disgusting to me. Additionally, the MC just picks up whatever pokemon he finds. Milotic sure, amazing choice for your water type, though he doesn’t bide his time to find the best febass he can even though author says they are common. But a hypno? Seriously? Anyway, I am utterly disgusted by the sheer arrogance and stupidity of the MC; imagine wanting to “conquer” pokemon leagues yet gimping yourself horribly on day one.

Twubs:Without releasing too many spoilers, I will say that later in the story the MC will realize the folly of his ways, and he will change. But for now, he will have this limitation yes.
