What devil fruit did he give the MC? Im considering to read the story but the facts its a weak MC is a real turn off

He starts off weak but trains really hard, actually I would argue he grows strong a little too quickly if anything. We don’t entirely understand how his df works yet but it’s very different from any other fruit I’ve seen

I didnt say it was good, i just said it was different. We dont know much about his fruit yet so im not really giving my opinion about how much i like it. Since it’s a very different concept, I want to see where they go with it before forming my opinion

Do you mind explaining the fruit concept the best you can? From all i know i just heard its a luck based power and it sucks.

From my understanding he has two main abilities. One is a gamble, that allows him to temporarily gain or lose strength depending on the outcome of the gamble. The amount of strength gained or lost depends on the luck of himself and whoever he is gambling against. His other ability allows him to store luck over time, so if he encounters a powerful enemy he can use up his luck all at once for a greater powerup. That may not be entirely accurate but that’s my understanding, so it doesnt really change his fighting style and basically just gives him an excuse to have plot armor. I’m not sure how this might change with how he develops the fruit or awakens it, and it seems like there are more specifications regarding the gambling, for both the temporary powerup and the use of stored luck against his foe. I will say that this devil fruit is the worst part of the story by far, even though i don’t dislike it. I really like every other aspect of this story, I’m just not sure what to think about the df ability yet, however it doesnt change his fighting style, just his ability to maybe fight stronger opponents so I think it’ll be fine.

That sounds like a horrible fruit. Sounds so boring to read. Reminds me of the story where the MC got a normal bear zoan. Sure the author was talented and made good stories so the one piece story itself was good but the fruit was so boring in my eyes. Theres a reason why most MCs have either Logia or Mythical Zoan.

Thanks for explaining, most bad reviews only stated that he got a bad DF. Although Luck isn't a concept that fits One Piece's DF, it's more of an awakened version of Urouge's Karma fruit.
