that trampling is one of the main consistent themes of the story. as he overcomes the difference between him and normal people he goes through more and more hardship barely escaping each time till he loses all emotion almost consumed with apathy. Small hints exist that he is headed towards an OP path that makes him more valuable than most of humanity. A broad list of characters make contact and befriend him. They could become valuable true friends, at some point in the far future. But you the reader gotta survive to get to it.
