I stopped reading your other TWD fic after you introduced mutated zombie/wildlife shtick (I don't know what you were thinking with that) but otherwise, it was an enjoyable read while it lasted. I'm hopeful that you won't do that kind of thing again in this fic according to what you wrote in the synopsis. Take 5 stars for encouragement.

The problem with mutated animals is that it reduces the chances of survival by a LOT. Imagine what would happen in the oceans ? The moment one fish is infected it will infect all the life forms there and all of marine life will rott for decades.

Undortunately, it doesn't have mutations. This is more slice of life and home building than powering up. Of course, MC will rise the top of the food chain in politics or trading.
