Tbh, it started off good and intriguing, with him experimenting and learning more about his powers/vampire identity while still having to deal with the political mess that comes with being reincarnated into a Baron's son. His character gradually didn't become my cup of tea but one thing about him is that he's determined to accomplish his goal no matter the cost. Now, I would be fine with the storyline if at around 130 chapters or so, he didn't choose to cheat. Like he literally keeps a powerful mistress because he wants to use their heir to consolidate his power. That's my bottomline. I was already a bit put off with the FL appearing so early into the story only to not be the only one. He didn't feel an ounce of guilt and First FL is just naive and treated like/is a powerful flower vase in my opinion. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but this is a common trope in male-centered (and authored) novels that annoys me. It's already steering towards a harem for me. I guess I should have read the tags before starting the novel.Only staying for the political plot and more discoveries about his bloodline powers.

Regarding my previous comment. Let me say outright that he's ruthless, determined, ambitious, scheming, basically not a role model

Also manipulative. This probably falls under scheming but I'm going to add more as I go

These traits are good for his situation. But to me, having a character who doesn't truly give his heart to anyone seems inhumane and I can't relate with him. Of course, he isn't himan, a vampire, but the revival of hos heartbeats should atleast mean something. Again, a bit early in the novel so still room for development

Ok, so he does actually care for his lovers and blood kin. I guess I'm just not used to the harem setting 🤷‍♀️. Atp, it feels like he ultimately wants to establish his own blood kingdom, which could kinda justify him building his own harem.

You didn’t even bother to get a full feel of the book before you dropped a review, so you keep dropping batches as you read more….. I just personally feel at that point you cannot be truthful anymore because I’m sure you wouldn’t want to contradict what you’ve written

1. There are about 500 chapters in the original translation and I've read it halfway. I haven't seen any rule that says reviews should only be written at the the book's end. I don't keep all my feelings in my memory for that long So I write what I understand about the novel. When I finish, I'll probably collate all I've written and write a basic summary as my final review and delete this mess but for now, I'm ok. I haven't had time to go back to the book cause I'm dealing with some but this is a process and maybe when I reread the book later, I'll have a better understanding. I get that you may find my initial thoughts misleading but my personal opinion should only be a guide and not a forced choice. I have not lied about the content of the book nor do I have any problems contradicting my initial thoughts. Like I said, new understanding every time I read. To each their own.
