Basically all of the pilot read novels have that last update time for what ever reason. Only once they become trial read novels and actually have chapters released does it change to a different last update time. Sometimes it is a few days ago or even a few months or years ago (one of the recent trial reads had last been updated like 2 years ago, but was only just released as a trial read).

Probably a nil value being converted to an integer (0) bring converted to start of unix time which is Jan 1st 1970, which is indeed 50 years ago.
