The insults is homophobic, but not necessarily the person. Also, he didn’t necessarily use the insult against a gay person, but just random on the internet. Lastly, it’s the internet.

The insult can also be use against a straight person. Basically, the person being homophobic is depend on the context he use the word in. This is just my opinion ofc, and you doesn’t necessarily have to agree. I just didn’t fancy words getting censored. Getting called out homophobic when you joke with your friend and called them gay.
