That’s like saying the MC in Solo Leveling is a slave as well since there are punishments. How do you expect the MC to get better if he just lazes around since the system won’t stop him?

Technically that MC is a slave to the shadow monarch. Everything the MC had is from the Shadow monarch. even his system is made by the monarch. And he had to do what the Monarch wanted through the system.
