I deter harem the most, because it's what that drags down the novel itself. Most stories with a harem will turn out to be ribbish, regardless of how good the concept of the story is. Also, it's usually very cliche and irritating, making readers annoyed.

I mean there's like 4 to 5 things either just as or even more cliché then harems. There is the trope of them being average then turning into Ching Chong china god, they just get a system that gives you infinite cultivation in a starter pack, the plot being filled with tsunderes, the main character being a pushover for any and all women, a lack of powerful male characters, and more.
