it's a good novel but you're being forced to pay for chapter's which is illegal sense it's using copyrighted characters in it from both marvel and DC which is highly illegal so don't expect this novel to be worked on much longer especially now when Disney has started to double down on their copyrighted work. it doesn't matter if you're just using the names like Iron man, hulk, spiderman, batman, frozen man and Venom. i mean come on someone with basic copyright knowledge knows this.

LIKEIn this books he is making unrelated machines and such and simply giving them a name in relation. that's not copyrighted. Now if he actually made a suit, gave it an AI name Jarvis, and then made a reactor to power it? then yes you would be may correct. There's no such thing as a copyright of a name only. it has to be in representation as well.
as an example I could make a gas station and name it walmart and there wouldn't be any issues for copyright or business. This is because the gas station doesn't represent or copy anything of the grocery store of the same name. I hope this clears that up for you.

this doesn't work since walmart has gas stations. people would think this gas station is connected to those gas stations actually linked to walmart

Anyone who has ever been to Walmart knows that the gas station is called Murphy. So a gas station called Walmart is still a viable name so long as the design doesn't imitate the commercial store's letter font and yellow star.

it's nice to see that people knows about the loopholes in copyright law but you're forgetting the most obvious thing in the novel that no form of loopholeing :p can protect you from the author describes the robots to there comic book, game, cartoon and movie counterparts like a robot that looks like batman one like spiderman and so on as soon he used the descriptions and then chose to give the same names to the robots so when the author decided to put a payment wall on the chapters he's selling copyrighted material :)
no the names are trademarked to u can use the names for fanfiction but you can't use them to make a profit it's why you dont see toys comics movies or other things that have iron man as the name on anything that has even passing similarities besides he had a drone turn into an iron man armour named it iron man only difference is weapons and it doesn't have Jarvis still looks the same and named the same

selling chapters on webnovel with copyright names would count as copyright infringement. this is illegal

dude. name copywriting is a big thing. its just clled trademark. Business names, product names, logos and labels can all be trademarks. You acquire a trademark by using your mark in commerce—in other words, using it when you conduct your business. This applies to movies and related franchises.

I posted the exact link to copyright laws in these comments which specifically say that copyright laws do not apply to a name of any kind. and yes trademark does apply. BUT only applies to a business' logo, design, or wordmark, in a likeness to the original business. ex; "Walmart" with a very distinctive yellow star next to it. read and learn something before arguing for Christ sake.
a trademarks only purpose is to keep another business entity from using licensed trademarks or designs as a name for another product not produced by the original company. for example. a "book" called IronMan is not ok. but a "character" named Ironman is completely fine. because the author isn't making money off of a fictional character. he is doing so by the book named 'whatever'. I hope this makes sense to you all.
Moe_Cyan_Pile:an actually good loophole. has the same energy as naming an agricultural company as Samsung.
This example is actually a violation and a cause for infringement because it violates the law for trademarks and trade-names. Copying another business' registered name, even though you have different type of business, causes confusion, which is the basis for infringement.
