too Chinese too TOO cliche and this this pure wish fulfilment it has every Chinese cliche and brain dead decision and scenario you can have in any Chinese novel. character are too 2d and predictable. story is also too predictable eg mc is orphan and have a lil sis what happened next they fall in love with each other. it's just too corny and predictable. if you like to read predictable, wish fulfilment and safe fluff with full of Cheesiness that this fir you.

Hmm, as far as Ive read, its mostly japanese. So im not sure if you are just generalizing them. Mind you, in novels its usually portrayed that chinese and japanese people dont mix good. If not downright enemies/rivals. When it comes to the plot, true it may have a few cliche scenes but thats normal with a theme like this.
