Haven't read it yet but it kinda sounds like the other novel The Most Generous Master Ever. For now I'll give it a 3 star until I finish the trial chapters.

20 chapters in, I'll stick with the 3 star rating. Fairly average but there are 3 inconsistencies that I've already noticed. Others these may not be bothered by them but it's enough to break me out of the story. 1. There's an event that will be taking place that was initially called quininnial (event taking place every 5 years - had to Google this word) was changed to decinnial (every 10 years) 2. This one bothered me a bit more, the sect master refers to MC as junior brother but other DISCIPLES also refer to MC as senior brother. It's stated that one can become an elder after reaching the Illuminating realm (or something) which the MC hasn't yet but he does possess the power similar to one even though he's one realm lower. So which is he? Is he still a disciple or is he an elder? He does advance to Illuminating realm after a few chapters and is recognized as an elder of the sect but only the other elders and sect master know. He runs into some disciples of the sect later and they refer to him as uncle master even though they're unaware that he's in the Illuminating realm now. 3. The rewards he gets are suppose to be doubled what he gives away to his disciples but he's been receiving rewards that are way more than double i.e. he gives 10cu meter spatial ring to disciple and he receives 100cu meter ring. Same thing happened with giving a part of his cultivation too.
