Unbelievable how much potential this novel had and it just kept spiralling downwards with the main character refusing to have development. Incredibly funny how there was an entire arc about the mc trying to change himself and immediately after the arc is done everything in it is forgotten and he just keeps behaving just like before the arc.

Kiki_Anki:as someone who has read the entire thing PLEASE keep reading, I guarantee you it's 100% worth it. I'm pretty sure I know where you're up to in the second volume of the forgotten shore and I will admit, it's probably a weaker point of the series but I promise, that potential you mentioned get even crazier as more worldbuilding comes into it and the insane plot twists/reveals happen (you might not know this yet but the plot twists in shadow slave are actually bonkers and insanely subtlely foreshadowed so please stay on it). Also the character development is amazing, this is only a dint in it but it will pay off later trust me. Sunny's (and the other's) character development goes hard. So please read it again lol (sorry for ranting I just love it haha)
