If the harem gets too big then I bet that the story would be ruined like some other storys with doll like braindead girls following him around as he gives face slap after face slap (that’s how the other failure storys developed in the later chapters so I hope this isn't the case for this story)

But harem doesn't mean that it has to be 15-40 girls man. Since most of these types of stories have tons of plot holes with bland personalities and relationships and some annoying characters that annoy you every 6-10 paragraphs for whole 200 chapters so that's why making a harem too big or just ignoring the personalities of said woman in a harem just destroys the story.

i can get your point as a skill full author might make actually like 12 love interests works but more than that will need at 500-1k chapter to at least flush out their characters and rest are just copy paste personality so yes I kinda agree but there are some really good harem too

I personally think that the perfect harem size is 6-8 depending on the author’s skill level and the girls. A example is hermione granger should only be used as a solo heroine or a relationship with the mc and one other girl.
