I absolutely like the main character, he is CEO but suddenly enters to foreign world maybe he felt so strange, confused or scared. This story similar with my another story genre Korean drama : The concubine from 21st century. I always like chinese novel, korean novel, dynasty stories, etc. Beside that, the plot is very interesting, also neatly writing style, the words are easy to understand. This is a genre that I enjoy as well because I do find historical culture very fascinating and often consider what it would be like as a modern person to live within those times. Like you said, I imagine the poor transmigrator would be very confused or scared. <3
it similar with my MC, NamJang Mi suddenly entered to Joseon Dynasty with her friends that night, when they were standing at in front of the hotel waiting for the bus. or maybe like korean drama Moon lovers in year 2016, the main character was moving to goryeo dynasy while she tried to save a little boy in the lake after she knewed her boyfriend cheated her.
